Crossing Ohio

We are now in Ohio, having driven through Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and into Pennsylvania by last night. The kids are in great spirits. Yesterday they watched a movie, played cards, read books, looked out the window, and eventually slept. Today we have been listening to an audio book, and they played Magic cards and some activities provided by Nan.

Today's roadside breakfast in Pennsylvania...

We found Pennsylvania to be a pretty drive, with rolling hills, mist, and drivers much more civilized than those in NY and Massachusetts! We are now south of Cleveland. 

We are off!

The van is packed and the kids have a nice setup. We are all excited to get going. It will be several hours of driving today to get into Pennsylvania. The boys are already watching a movie.

Trip Preparations

Here is the van we will be taking on our road trip. A little extra room and comfort for long drives, and all the camping gear and "stuff" we need to bring.

We're packing up and getting ready to head off for a month long road trip "out west"! Follow along on our adventure. We'll try to post notes and pictures often. We leave on Sunday, June 29. We'll be driving a lot the first few days to get out to Denver, and then we will spend most of our time in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.
